Gasabo: Infinix lunch a new brand ‘Hot 60’ phone within free calls distance of up to 1.5 kilometers

The factory in Hong Kong that produces Infinix phones has launched a new product in the Rwandan market, the ‘Infinix Hot 60’ phones, which feature the unique ability to make free calls when the callers are within a distance of up to 1.5 kilometers.

On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, the Infinix branch operating in Rwanda, in partnership with MTN Rwanda, launched three phone models: ‘Infinix Hot 60 Pro+’, ‘Infinix Hot 60 Pro’, and ‘Infinix Hot 60i’. All these phones released to the market feature advanced artificial intelligence technology.

The Marketing Officer at Infinix Rwanda, Shema Gilbert, stated that these phones are equipped with cutting-edge technology, encouraging the youth to use them. He said, “This is a phone we can call a friend of the youth because it comes with modern technology, and often, it is the youth who know how to use it. However, everyone should have one because it simplifies life.” He added, “You can ask it for anything you need. For example, you can ask it to call someone for you, to play music, and more.”

The newly launched ‘Infinix Hot 60’ has the unique feature of calling its peers without using units, instead it uses ‘bluetooth’ to call another one up to 1.5 kilometers away.It is a good phone because it has a slim profile of 5.95 mm, an AI camera, and a strong glass that helps prevent it from breaking when it accidentally falls.In partnership with MTN Rwanda, a 20% discount has been established for customers who use Mobile Money to purchase units. A buyer will also receive 15GB of internet and 300 minutes of calls immediately after purchase.To make it easier for those who wish to own it, a payment installments option has been introduced, allowing individuals to pay in three, six, or twelve months. This is available at ‘Yellow Financing’ stores.

These phones started hitting the market on Thursday, July 24, 2025, and are available in all Infinix stores located in different parts of the country. The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ costs 337,999 Rwandan Francs, the Infinix Hot 60 Pro is priced at 273,999 Rwandan Francs, while the Infinix Hot 60i is priced at 184,999 Rwandan Francs. Currently, Infinix operates in over 40 countries worldwide, is very popular in Africa, and has models including Smart, Hot, Note, and Zero.
